After spending an afternoon in the gigantic and smooth ambiance of the Cinquantenaire museum of Brussels, i thought it would be interesting to wonder around and observe the typical demeanor of the tourists. I then decided to lead few interviews amongst the museum staff (guards, librarian, maids…) and also two museum curators : Sergio Purini (Pre-colombian America) and Mieke Vandeperre (Islamic art).
The concept of this tlittle pole was simple, only one unique was question asked :
« Usually, where do the tourists take the most pictures in the museum ? »
Following our exchanges, it was obvious to see what were the most frequented zone of the space.
Mixing the results with my own vision, i i was able to interpret, imagine and realize 12 photography in which I impersonate the typical tourist.
