Ecco Freddo is a family of modular items, which encourage us to consider our conservation and consumption habits in relation to day-to-day foods. This series of items includes an enclosed container of the « chilled dessert » type for leaf vegetables, another with sand to conserve root vegetables and a humidified fruit cutter. Their double walls and the fact that each item is watered every day provides improved conservation for fruit and vegetables.
Additionally, the modules can be adapted to a conventional kitchen and enable the consumer to adopt an environmentally friendly attitude with the goal of using the refrigerator less frequently. Each of these modules operates independently of the others and requires no energy. These three containers may also be used as aids in awareness-building workshops working with children and adults, when discussing issues related to the storage and cooking of foods. Brussels’s urban space has been in constant change ever since the 1960’s. Vacants lots or « missing teeth » as they are called in french, are the perfect portrait of this continuous transition. Frail as they are, they let us catch a glimpse into past, traces through their concrete skeletons and unpredictable compositions that show us different ages. Infill’s photographies project in collaboration with Jeremy Bobel (Édith).
Pile centers around an area of the city Roubaix in France. This district is very poor and abandonned, but you can see signs of progress and change. The change and action of the citizens inspired us to this book, which shows how you can still find happiness and beauty. Some of the locked up houses are bought by the government; housing is absolutely needed and those are still in good shape. They are meant to by torn down as soon as the whole block is bought up, and rebuild into social housing. The quotes are from conversations we had with the citizens, and they show how deeply they are connected to their neighbourhood. They also show their criticism towards the politicians responisble for it. Work in collaboration with Sara Mossong.
